class meeting

Date of meeting: March 2013. Time of meeting: 11:00. Venue: C001. Group members. Chair: Ahmed Suroor Secretary: Mohamed Ahmed Participant: Eissa Tayeb Participant Ahmed Abdulkareem. Agenda: Traffic and parking issues at the college. Problems: Insufficient parking spaces, Illegal parking positions, Not enough space to park, Very high pavements, Many oversized humps causing congestion, No shade for the cars. Solutions: Wider parking spaces, Shade for the cars, Lower pavements, Smaller humps, Consequences for illegal parking.

Minutes:
Insufficient parking spaces
Ahmed Suroor: talked about the problems and solutions he said that making wider spaces for the parking can help students come to the class early.
Mohammed Ahmed: said they have to remove some green area's to provide more parking spaces. A lot of student’s come to the college with a huge car, like GMC trucks, and these cars need a big space to be manovered and parked.

Illegal parking positions
Ahmed Suroor: said that consequences should be taken and people who park illegally should be fined, like tickets and warnings.
Eissa Tayib: said we should have better security and better consequences for people who park illegaly.

 Very high pavements
Ahmed Suroor: said the pavements are very high and they take a lot of space causing fewer parking spaces.
Eissa Tayib: said they should be removed and smaller pavements should be placed to take less space.
Ahmed Suroor: said the humps are very unnecessary and oversized because it takes time going over them and some cars cannot go over them.
Ahmed Abdulkareem: said the humps cause the cars to flow slowly causing congestion.

 No shade for the cars
Ahmed Abdulkareem: said that shade for the cars is critical because of the heat cars might break down and may get too hot to drive.
Ahmed Suroor: agreed and thinks the shade would be better for heat problems in the car.

we have concluded that Making bigger parking spaces would help in the studies of the students causing them to arrive to class on time. Entering and exiting the parking area would be easier and illegal parking would be banned and consequences will be provided. the high humps would be reduced causing easier flow and better parking abilities. We discussed with mister Headly an important issue it was parking’s in the college, after that we talked about the causes of the main problem and we placed resonable solutions. We need wider parkings and we must persue our goal in solving the parking problems.

ahmed suroor interveiw reflection

My reflection of the meeting

Well the meeting went quite well; participants were Ahmed Suroor and Eissa Tayib and Ahmed Abdulkareem. We started it off with the problems that were figured out by me and my partners;a big issue is the unnecessary oversized speed humps and insufficient parking spaces and very high pavements;we also found that illegal parking is a great issue because it’s the main thing that causes congestion of the cars from moving and can interfere with your parking abilities. We also assumed that shade would be of great use because the sun can make our cars so hot the steering wheel is too hot to grasp which makes students take longer to leave the college. I and my partners also presented our solutions to making students arrive and leave faster and to solve all the problems of traffic and parking;our solutions were wider parking spaces by removing some green areas and making smaller and lower pavements , removing the humps or reducing their size to have better flow and having parking tickets for the people who park illegally to stop congestion and we had a marvelous idea of having underground parking but its most likely that won’t happen due to construction and the fact that it would take a long time to build and of the high cost of building it. We concluded the meeting and what we decided was to  help the students park easily and come to class earlier and to have more parking areas we have to work with our solutions and come up with a plan to execute this meeting and make it from words to reality and we ended the meeting with a smile and a handshake.

my interview report

Interview report

Interviewers : Sultanal Rumaithy and Mohamed Awad

11:30 2/26/13

My interview went rather well. I entered the interview hall with an attire of pure Emirati heritage wearing a kandoora and a sifra showing my pride. I entered with complete confidence with a poise that showed no hesitation; first I started with my name and where I lived and some personal details like my age and my weaknesses and my strong points and the most important point in my intro was that I implied that I really wanted to get the job was asked some specific questions like how can I improve myself and what kind of a person I am regarding work but still I answered with complete confidence because my answers were a product of pure motivation to getting this job; my body language was weak because of the lack of time to drink my coffee; my voice was crystal clear causing the interviewers to hear me very well that made the interview flow. well I don’t believe in preparation for an interview I believe that every answer coming from me should be fresh and pure not thought of and improved but to show your real thoughts about this job and how you will persevere and strive to get that job and I hope I get it.
